For the YRoNS 2011 Symposium we are planning to invite between 30 to 35 participants (students aged 14-18 and their mentors) from our partner schools. We expect 4 to 6 students (and 1 to 2 teachers) from each school who will work in groups of two or three.
The specific topics to be elaborated on by students are to be assigned by the science departments in partner schools. The schools are kindly asked to select their research project topics in accordance with the title of the symposium. The students attending the symposium are expected to give a 15 minute oral presentation on their chosen field of study and discuss possible questions. They are also expected to discuss their research project with the attendance.
We suggest organising a local competition in each partner school for the students interested, in order to choose the most apt students who could participate in the international symposium YRoNS 2011.
